What is Distance Reiki?​

Distance Reiki can be a tough thing to get your head around initially! It doesn't make much sense to our brains, yet one of the many amazing aspects of Reiki, is that its healing ability is not constrained by space or time (past, present, or future).

 

How?!  Because at a quantum molecular level, we are all connected and can affect one other – a simple intention of sending love to someone can 'start it off'  (so to speak) in their being!  Learning even just a little bit about this intriguing area of science will reveal quite a lot about how the process of distance treatments work if you feel so inclined.

As a Reiki practitioner, we are taught symbols to use if and when we feel it appropriate, the distance symbol can allow healing energy to transcend both time and distance. It allows Reiki Practitioners to clear blockages - in the same way as if you were physically present - that could be affecting your mood or day-to-day life. By not being physically present, your healing treatment will not be hindered, as Reiki teaches us that we are all connected and part of a larger whole.

My recommendation would be to just try it if you're not convinced! To receive the benefits of a Distance Reiki treatment, you don't really need to understand it, just know that the Reiki Energy will find you and help you where you need it most.

How does a treatment work?​

With distance Reiki we will have an agreed time in which the treatment will be carried out. Prior to the session we'll have a chat about the treatment itself, and if needed I can recommend some music or ideas to help you feel your most relaxed. If you choose, I can stay on an audio call throughout the treatment (I find video calls can be distracting when the signal is not perfect) and we can talk about how you felt during the treatment once it ends. Alternatively, the healing treatment can be done without audio. Many clients fall asleep during the session and then stay asleep for as long as they need to after it has finished, and we arrange a time to speak after which many prefer. Whatever you feel most comfortable with is the right way for you. I suggest you find a quiet location where you won't be interrupted, leave your phone somewhere you can't see or hear it,  and find the most comfortable position to be in during the treatment.
